to linear feet.
Estimate wall and ceiling lining before choosing board lengths. Enter the board’s installed face coverage, excluding its tongue, for the profile you intend to use.
How this estimate is calculated
Wall area = 2 × (width + depth) × height − door and window area. Ceiling area = width × depth, when selected. Linear feet = total area × 12 ÷ installed board coverage in inches. The cutting allowance is then added. Full-board equivalent is rounded up from the required linear feet divided by the planned board length; it is not an optimized cut list.

Western Red Cedar
Choose knotty cedar for natural knots and colour variation, or clear cedar for a more uniform appearance. Mix knotty wall and ceiling boards with clear bench lumber if you want a different finish for the seating surfaces.

What is a linear foot of sauna lumber?
A linear foot measures one foot along the length of a board. It does not describe square-foot coverage. Coverage also depends on the installed face width of the profile. Select the board and available length on its product page to see the applicable price.
How many boards do I need?
Measure the surfaces to be lined, subtract openings, and use the installed face coverage to estimate linear feet. Allow for cuts and waste, then check the board lengths against your wall and ceiling layout. The quantity planner gives a starting estimate; your final cut list determines the full boards you need.
Can I buy only bench lumber or trim?

Can these materials be used outside the sauna?
The original ZAPARA material description also allows for other applications and recommends staining wood used outside the sauna to improve durability and appearance. Confirm the intended application and a suitable finish for your project.
