Propane-powered sauna heat
TITAN SL1 combines a stainless steel radiant heat chamber, an open stone basket and high / low gas control. Water poured onto the heated stones produces traditional sauna steam. No electrical connection or chimney is required; continuous natural ventilation is essential.
For projects in Canada and the United States, ask ZAPARA to confirm availability, delivery, applicable product approvals and installation requirements for your location before ordering.
A live propane flame heats the stainless steel radiant chamber and the surrounding stone basket. The compact heater weighs 33 lb (15 kg) without stones and can suit a properly planned backyard, cottage or remote-property sauna.
Heat, steam and control
- Up to 8.1 kW of heat: high and low settings let you adjust the output during a supervised session.
- A 44 lb stone load: suitable heated sauna stones produce traditional steam when small amounts of clean water are ladled over them.
- No electrical connection or chimney: the heater uses propane (LP), with continuous natural ventilation required.
- Built-in safeguards: an internal tip switch, Oxygen Depletion System and 60-minute timer supplement correct installation and supervised operation.

Plan the complete setup
Sauna stones, a propane cylinder and propane fuel are purchased separately. The heater needs 44 lb (20 kg) of suitable stones. If ordering the supplier’s 33 lb boxes, choose two boxes and load only the specified 44 lb.
The installation also requires a stable, level, non-combustible base and correctly sized intake and exhaust openings. Optional accessories include the TITAN SL1 heat shield, water tank, intake-and-exhaust vent cover package and up to two additional heater guards. One guard is already included.
SaunaTrekker and SaunaTrekker XL are the specified compatible tents. Headrests, buckets, ladles and other sauna accessories can be selected in Product Configuration.

Frequently asked questions
Does the TITAN SL1 need electricity?
No electrical connection is required. TITAN SL1 runs on propane (LP). It still requires the specified natural ventilation, a suitable non-combustible base and all installation clearances.
Is this a propane or natural gas sauna heater?
It is a propane (LP) sauna heater. The supplied manual does not permit operation with natural gas or any other fuel. Use the supplied regulator and approved hose.
What size sauna can it heat?
The listed range is 140–350 ft³ (about 4.0–9.9 m³) for an uninsulated sauna, or 140–425 ft³ (about 4.0–12.0 m³) for an insulated sauna. Share your room size, insulation and glazing with ZAPARA before selecting a heater.
Are the stones and propane tank included?
No. The heater requires 44 lb (20 kg) of suitable sauna stones plus a propane cylinder and fuel, purchased separately. The regulator, 6 ft hose, heater guard and gloves are included.
Can I use it in any sauna tent?
No. The supplier specifies SaunaTrekker and SaunaTrekker XL tents only. Third-party, modified or substitute tents are not permitted by the manual. For a fixed sauna room, follow all ventilation, clearance and fuel requirements.
Can I order this gas sauna heater for Canada or the USA?
Contact ZAPARA with your province or state and installation details. Availability, delivery, applicable approvals and local installation requirements must be confirmed before ordering. The supplied documentation lists CE certification; it does not establish Canadian or US certification.
Can the heater operate unattended?
No. Keep the heater supervised and maintain continuous ventilation. Turn it off after use and whenever the sauna is unattended. The oxygen sensor and timer do not replace these requirements.
How long does it take to heat a sauna?
The supplier advertises warm-up in under 30 minutes for most saunas. Actual warm-up depends on room volume, insulation, starting temperature and ventilation; it is not a guaranteed time.
